Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

2. Product policies

Our products differ in what they access, so each has its own policy. Read it alongside this one:

3. What we collect

• Account data. Your name, email address, and the organisation you belong to, plus sign-in records such as when you last signed in.
• Billing data. Company name, billing address, tax ID, and a record of subscriptions and invoices. Card details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store a full card number.
• Product data. What you set up and do inside a product, such as the domains you monitor or the storage connections, permissions and activity records a product keeps. The product's own policy sets out the detail and how long records are kept.
• Technical data. Server logs, including IP address, browser type and timestamps, which we use to run and secure the service.
• Support messages. What you send us by email.

4. Why we use it

• to provide the product you signed up for, which is the performance of our contract with you
• to take payment and meet accounting and tax obligations, which is a legal obligation
• to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems, which is our legitimate interest
• to answer your questions and send service messages such as sign-in links and billing notices

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your product data to train AI models.

5. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers, who process data on our instructions:

• Stripe for payments, subscriptions and invoices
• Cloudflare for hosting, storage, and protection against attacks
• Postmark for transactional email such as sign-in links and invitations
• Google for sign-in with Google, where you choose it
• Ahrefs Analytics for aggregate visit counts on our marketing sites

We may also share data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims. If a product is ever sold or transferred, we will tell you before your data moves.

6. Where data is held

We are based in Hong Kong, and our providers operate in several countries, so your data may be processed outside the place where you are. Where required, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses. Some products let you choose a region for your data; where they do, their own policy explains it.

7. How long we keep it

We keep account and product data while your account is active, and delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period after you close it, except where we must keep records longer, such as invoices for tax purposes. Individual products apply shorter retention to some records, such as activity logs, and say so in their own policies.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable form. Write to contact@gone-coding.com and we will answer within the time the law allows. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Cookies and analytics

Our applications use cookies that are needed to keep you signed in. On our marketing sites we use privacy-friendly analytics that count visits without tracking individuals across the web. We do not run advertising trackers.

10. Security

We protect data in transit and at rest, encrypt credentials you entrust to a product, and limit access to the few people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we will tell you without undue delay if a breach affects your personal data.

11. Children

Our products are for business use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the product before it takes effect.
